Andreas Wlasak completed his studies as an industrial designer at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1984. He subsequently held various positions in the non-automotive sector in Italy, Germany and France and was responsible for brand and product lines in the consumer goods market. Until 2003, he headed the Advanced Design Studio Europe for Johnson Controls in Germany, which he built up into a recognised innovation centre.
Since 2003, Wlasak has headed all design activities at Faurecia as Vice President Industrial Design. His responsibilities include the development of the complete range of services, from strategic brand and product planning to flawless execution in the areas of Styling, Color & Trim, Perceived Quality, Ux/Ui Design, and Virtual and Physical Modeling. Andreas Wlasak is responsible for a variety of production programs for OEMs worldwide as well as advanced concept studies. He is also responsible for building a global network of design studios with world-class talent. Over the years, the Faurecia Industrial Design team has thus developed into the full strategic function for which it is known today.
