Gary Atkinson joined The Singing Machine Company, Inc. in January 2008 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since May 2012. Under his leadership, the company has embraced double-digit growth, strategic innovation, profitability, and brand evolution, consistently bringing the joy of karaoke to millions of households worldwide. With over a decade of dedicated stewardship, Gary has transformed Singing Machine into a global leader in karaoke entertainment.

Gary is a licensed attorney in Florida and Georgia and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Rochester and a dual J.D./M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law and Weatherhead School of Management.

Singing Machine was founded in 1982 in California as a manufacturer of professional and semi-professional karaoke machines. In 1988, our founder Eddie Steele saw potential in Home Karaoke Machines and the results speak for themselves.
