Building a great user experience in an efficient, agile manner requires swift iteration on single-source-of-truth software that can easily be simulated by everyone involved. With the complex system architectures and processes needed for automotive-embedded systems, this is an elusive aspiration. This presentation explores how teams of any size can optimize their workflows to build appealing and responsive HMI more effectively while taking into account the unique challenges that the automotive HMI space faces.

Romano has a video game and film/VFX background and entered the automotive HMI market as a graphics expert and later development consultant. He has worked on graphics and UX development pipelines for multiple mass-production car brands and championed tool and process improvements at various
organizations. As a product manager at Unity, Romano now works on bringing game technologies and workflows to the embedded systems space.
