Each year, car manufacturers develop and release increasingly complex in-vehicle infotainment systems. These unique systems are crucial for brand differentiation and cause both joy and frustration among users. Simultaneously, most drivers heavily use and cherish the features of Google’s or Apple’s ecosystems integrating mail, music, maps, and calendars. Currently, this seamless connection is lost upon entering the vehicle, leading to a gap in user experience. This presentation will explore potential strategies for bridging this disconnect, keeping intact the unique offerings by OEMs. We aim to discuss connecting in-car technology with popular digital platforms beyond Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, striving for an enhanced, comprehensive user experience in the car environment.
